Just put in a new Samsung dishwasher and it shuts down for a high water level in the washer. Samsung tech support says it's not draining, drain line clogged or bent. Disconnected drain from the disposal and ran a hose into the sink. Dishwasher runs and drains fine. So it's the disposal,it's less than a year old. Do I have plugged up disposal? Thanks for any help, Kevin

Did you knock the plug out of the disposal connection for the dishwasher?
Only takes a few taps with a hammer and screwdriver.

Removed a dishwasher that was working but old. It drained fine. The new one has a sensor that shuts the unit down if water doesn't drain. Drains fine in the sink though. I don't think the wife will let me keep a hose taped to the counter top to drain it haha.Comment

Did you replace the disposal too? If so then they have a plug that you have to knock out. It is inside the hole where you connect the hose from the dishwasher. Check it to make sure that it is open and lets the water enter the disposal.

Water does go into the disposal, can see it going in. Apparently it's not draining thru the disposal fast enough according to Samsung.Comment
