Direct TV savings

I was thinking about going to Dish network as a new customer but decided to call Direct TV and see if they would lower my rates to keep me from changing. I got them to take off a few channels I never watch and give me a few discounts and free Showtime for 4 months. It lowered my total bill by 43.00 per month for 12 months. All it took was a phone call. Give it a try, all they can say is no.

Yep we just did this too. Not to switch providers, but to drop HBO and Stars to help save some $. Long story short, we got to keep our movie channels and got $20 a month knocked off our bill.
