I have an ozone generator and do my clothes religiously. It certainly helps get the odors out. Dirty sock will smell totally clean.

The problem is that the deer can still smell you...the human. You can never get rid of all the odor on a human body just by spraying scent eliminator on you....the body constantly emits odors.

Is it worth $40 to use to get rid of clothes odor? Sure.

Will the deer still smell you if you are upwind of them? Yes most likely they will....I sure have.

I'm surprised that another company hasn't come out with one like OZonics at half the price. This one doesn't put out near the Ozone as Ozonics but if they can sell this one so cheap they could easily make one that was equal to Ozonics for half the price if not even less.

Theyre just tools to help get the job done is all.

Yes. It may work in an enclosed blind but i really doubt it. It is really small and wont create much ozone.

A few years after Ozonics came out, I was tellin a friend of mine about the new product. After a couple of minutes he was telling me about a similar product that he used to sell when he was a young man (we are both in our 40's). He told me that he used to sell them to butcher shops mostly and that it was a little machine that produced ozone and that it would smell similar to when there was a rain storm.
I remember him telling me that the product he sold was no where near the price of Ozonics. Just sayin'

Anyone been able to put these things to the test on any hogs or anything?

Since they are 19.99 i went ahead and got a couple just to help cut down on any odors that may be associated with my clothes.

How much time do you think they should run before you hunt 24 hours or so?

I have yet to find anything that will fool a hogs nose. I've sat many times in a ground blind with ozonics in swirling winds. Had deer all around me and then the deer run off because hogs are coming in but the hogs always bust me and don't come all the way in. As soon as the hogs leave the deer come back. Not sure if the hogs are just busting at the scent of ozone or busting my scent but it doesn't really matter because busted is busted. I had many deer down wind of me before with ozonics and then turned the unit off and within a minute or two the deer busted me. Turn ozonics on and the deer come back. I have not had much luck with the ozonics unless I'm in a blind and never any luck with ozonics with pigs that I can honestly say it worked. In fact I only use the ozonics when deer hunting now because it does no good with pigs for me.

ok I'm not paying 400 for something that I think I could make for wayyyy less...has anyone thought of using cigarette/auxillary plug ionizers used for a car..maybe use a few wired to a battery...the problem I'm having is figuring out a good ionizer from a junk one...if someone figures this will work too...and finds reputable 12v ionizers.. let me know...my thought was to wire up two and put em inside my shirt or jacket on either side

I got a used ozonics set up on the classifieds here. I have had a few deer that could definitely detect it, but they didn't spook. I had a doe at 6 yards last year in swirling winds on a hot afternoon. No way that deer wouldn't have spooked without it. I am a believer.
