I have worked in one at the fair in lubbock this past sept. It was a lot of work and very hot and greasy. But we made a LOT of money for the booster club at my kids school. Sell something with a low cost like potatoes and the mark up is spectacular. I don't know if this helps or not but it's all of the info I can give you...

I know a couple of people who do quite well with concessions - one works the First Mondays in Canton and the other runs a small town meals on wheels deal in West Texas.

The good news is that it is portable and can be moved with the business. The bad news is that you have to learn how much to buy and not get burned with to much or too little food.

It's like anything else, you get out of it what you put in to it. The real good news is that you don't have a really big initial investment and you can always resell your equipment if youu decide not to keep doing it.

Shoot me a pm if interested in snow cone stand. I had a guy come and sell them in my parking lot during the warm months. Can try to get you his number if it's something you are interested in.
