    Plastic cutting board fits great.

You can fit it to size on a table saw or with a jigsaw if needed

I've made them for the 105qt, both a single divider and a double that splits it into 4 compartments, but dont have a 50 to use as a template. Otherwise I could draw it up and cut on our CNC routers at work.

I have 6 different Yetis's and as much as I can justify their cost I can't do the same for a piece of plastic or more correctly named a cutting board.

If I remember correctly a full sheet of polypropylene board at 1/4 inch runs around 110 per board.

If I saw the price correctly the cost of the divider for a 65 is about 50 dollars. That is why too much. It is a little larger than I sheet of paper

Im not justifying their cost, but dont forget to include the cost of the machines used to cut these out. We have two CNC routers here at work that we use to cut HDPE board from 4x8 sheets and I believe they were close to 40k each 8 years ago when purchased, plus the energy and tooling cost to keep them running then add in the cost of the machine operators...

I agree they're priced a bit high, but there's more to the cost than just the raw material.

I agree with you there are lots of other factors. I however think that in this case the higher cost is brand pricing as opposed to cost factors. You can go to any high end kitchen store like Williams Sonoma and compare the cost of a larger cutting board that is also cut by a CNC machine and they still are not the same in cost.

Yea but you are paying $5 for the actual item and $45 for them to stamp "YETI" on it! Kinda like the rambler lids that sell for $20! (IE half the price of the dang cup!)

You definitely are being charged for the branding as well with them.

If you were close to Fort Worth or I had a 50qt cooler, I'd have one for you at a lot less cost.

Had to look up the rambler lid cost.. $4.99 - http://yeticoolers.com/rambler-replacement-lid/

As other has mentioned, I bought an $8 cutting board at Walmart and made my own. Use a cardboard template, hacksaw and hand file. There is a youtube DIY video that I used as an example.
