    Covert Code Black

I was wondering what AT&T plan y'all were using for your Code Blacks? Any other input on them or a better option would also be appreciated. Thanks

Mine is the 2015 model Covert Code Black and I had the option of doing $25 for 3 months and that's what I went with on an AT&T plan.

So the 90 days for $25 will send me unlimited pics?

I'm not a super-duper techy, but it's my understanding is that it uses data to get the images and then I get them as a text. The 2015 model uses a different platform. The new 2015 model comes with a SIM card and is easy to setup and you don't have to go to the AT&T store to do the initial setup. Covert customer service told me that the $25 for 3 months was pretty much unlimited pics... I think they said I could get about 17,000 pics for the $25 for 3 month plan.

I received my camera on Saturday.
Today I went to ATT to see what plans they offer for these. They were unfamiliar with this type of camera as well as what I was looking for.
They are there to sell you as much service as they can get out of you. With a $75.00 / month quote for a combo text and data plan, I decided to get on their site and see for myself.

My understanding of the camera is this:
It will send pictures via MMS with a "text only" SIM card.
It will e-mail pictures with a "data" SIM card.
It will do both with a combo text / data, just like a regular phone.

If you are frugal about your monthly cost, you must make a decision on what applies better in your application.

ATT's "Data Connect Pass" is a 90 day activation for $25.00.
Its designed for people who travel and need to be able to use a data device periodically.
I already do this with my tablet and my usuage is very minimal because I log on, get what I need and log off.
Since I have 3 or 4 people that will need to be receiving what this camera sends, I am setting it up to receive e-mail on the plan listed above.
Cell phones can then be tied to receive an e-mail notification.

I just added 3 lines to my at&t plan. It costs me around 10-15 per month, but I am not 100% sure.

Wrong if you want them to send an email your required to have data, but if you want it to only text then data is not required.

I have several not using data and txt only so don't say it can't be done.

Do you have Covert's that are 2014 or older ?

The new 2015 Covert's are different.
