    Aggie help needed...

Wifes grandfather turns 100 in October. Would like TAMU to recognize that a 1940 graduate that left CS to.serve.under Patton to recognize that amazing feat. Since I dont have an Aggie ID, nobody will give me the time of day.

Benn Arnold Gleason class of 1940

Have you tried sending an email to the Commandant of the Corps of Cadets? That's the kind of thing I think he would like to do.
The Association of Former Students would be the other place I would call.

I played football against TAMU and personally dislike but this sir deserves their utmost attention. They are supposedly all about honor and tradition. We'll see on this one.

Chef, that is pretty cool about your wifes grandad. I would bet they would do something. I would try to contact the Former Students people like Dave said.

I would think the Association would be able to help with this. Just with his name I am able to pull him up in the online directory so they shouldn't have a problem finding it.

Please do not let the attitudes of our football players give you the idea that Aggies all act like that. I personally only ever met a few athletes that acted respectfully.

As for the OP, I would think that the association of former students would be willing to help

He sounds like a perfect candidate for the "Bugle Call" segment the do at the games.

I've seen similar vets get standing ovations when recognized at games during the bugle call productions.

                    Hope he gets some recognition.
