    Camo'ing a duck boat...

My nephew has a john boat about 5x16 and wants to camo it for duck hunting. Not so much painting the boat but more like camo netting or burlap etc to hide the hunters topside. I am looking for ideas for him that are simple, efficient and easy to put up in the dark with friends not familiar with the setup. If anyone has some pics they would like to show off how they did theirs I would most grateful! Thanks...

No pics, but netting works well with synthetic colored grass. Best thing to do is use foliage appropriate the the area they are hunting. I'd say get there early and if hunting around cat tails then cut those there and weave them into the netting. If hunting around brush then cut brush to use. I never use the same in material all season. I use what's currently in the places I hunt and have great success hiding 3-4 hunters and work birds directly over decoys. If they are uncertain of what may be abailable.then use bamboo. It works great and has awsome coverage.

One duck hunters opinion to another.

Look at the adjustable blinds online, I made one out of galvanized conduit for mine 7 years ago, use 4-C-clamps to take it on and off. Then take the netting and zip-tie it on, get the long pieces of Velcro and roll it up and Velcro to too of blind when not it use. Worked great for me.
