I know this isn't for everyone but you never know

My brother and his wife own 1250 acres in Burleson and Lee county. It sets along Yegua Creek. No one has hunted deer on this place in over 20 years. My brother allows me and some other guys to hunt hogs and he has shot maybe 3 bucks in the past 20 years. It is absolutely loaded with deer and hogs. There aren't 150' bucks under every tree because the buck to doe ratio is way out of whack. You can usually see more than 100 deer on every afternoon down in the creek bottoms. The east side of the ranch is mostly wooded oaks with roads cut through to get to the oil wells. The west side has the creek running through it and 200+ acres on the Lee County side. He has a concrete low water crossing across the creek to get to the Lee county side.

There is a two story log home, covered horse barn, two car garage and shop on the property. It had a mobile home on it as well but it was moved off about 5 years ago. Another could be placed very easily. It is 2 miles from the front gate off the county road to the house which is on the Burleson County side. I would guess it is another mile to the backside of the place from the house.

They have had this place on the market for several years but haven't really got interested in selling it until just lately. My brother is in his 60's and his health isn't great and he just can't keep up with it like he used to. They have 100% of the mineral rights on this place and hold all the leases for the active oil wells. They are willing to let go of some of the mineral rights if the price is right.

If you are interested or know someone who may be please send me a PM. We are talking between 4 1/2 and 5 Million dollars here so please only contact if you are serious.

I know what alot of you guys are thinking so I will go ahead and answer it. No they are not interested in leasing it for hunting. lol I have already told him that it would make a great day lease for hogs.

That close to home and that large of a place would be a dream come true! Like most, it is way out of my price range...

It has great potential. I've taken several members out there to get their first hog.

Beautiful area! I know the ideal situation would be to find a single buyer, but that would be a pretty large purchase for most folks as you know. Have they thought about dividing it? Any natural borders for a division?

Another idea would be to approach the oil company or companies that have the leases and see if they would be interested.

Bump and good luck to your brother. I wish I had a brother with a bunch of land loaded with deer.
