    Moving to Kyle!!

The wife and I are closing on a house in Kyle on Friday. We both can't wait.

Our situation is little complicated. My wife work in Austin and live with her parents in Driftwood for now. I'm in Pearland(near Houston) and will be retiring at end of September. I will take few months off before I look for work.

I know there are couple of members on here that live in Kyle. I'm familiar with the Austin area some but not much about Kyle. Looks like it a nice area and is growing fast.

What are some the place in and around Kyle we should check out?

PS: I've been to Cabela's a few times.

I've lived in Kyle for 4 years and near Kyle for most of my life. As far as Kyle goes there isn't many places to see. Most everything to do is in either in South Austin or San Marcos which both aren't far at all. We did just get a movie theatre about 6 months ago so that's exciting.

We went to the Walmart there and noticed how new and clean it was. I ask one of the workers there when this store opened and she said March 26th. Our new house is in Bunton Creek village.

I just sold my house in Bunton creek village. 1697 twin cove. I live in it for 3.5 years. Hated to sell it Bc I spent so much time with it during the building process but had to move to San Antonio for medical school. It was a nice neighborhood but is now having more more and more drama. Best of luck living there.

Just moved from Kyle to SA, it's a nice town, but as mentioned most of the things to do are in Austin or San Marcos.

My favorite restaraunt is Garcias, in Buda. The Garcias in Kyle isn't worth a chit.

Places to see or go do around the city are just a few. Like said above, Austin and San marcos has everything though. Food wise there aren't any sit down restaurants. That's the one thing we didn't like. But all the fast food you can get. In San Marcos, def go to center station by the outlet malls, grind on north lbj, and the tap room. Best burger around IMO. Activities are endless but have a short drive from Bunton creek.

We just sold our house in Silverado and are moving to Wimberley. I would suggest you and the wife go visit Wimberley. Great small town with lots to do.

You can go to Jacobs Well, The Blue Hole, ride the zipline, or just browse the shops in downtown Wimberley. And Market Days is the first Saturday of every month.
