    Android vs. iPhone

I'm leaning towards the galaxy s6 active unless this new iPhone coming out in a couple months can match the quality.

Anyone else have any other recommendations.

    Android vs iPhone talk?

I'm and iPhone guy, my son is a Android guy. I tell him that Androids are Obama phones...****** him off so much!!

With that said, I heard LG is coming out with a new phone that is pretty trick.

They're all awesome nowadays, the iPhone is more basic with less customization and seems to have a better OS as far as virus or crashing is concerned. It's still buggy sometimes but I prefer it. It's the old Ford vs Chevy debate, everyone likes something different.

That's my thought too. It just seems like the same phone over and over again

I have been using the Samsung S5 Active and really like it.
              Pretty solid phone.

Dumped Apple a few years back.

I'm 2.5 years into my iPhone. Only issue is battery life.

When an android has 2.5 years of service without crashing and losing all the kids pictures I might get one.

I've bounced back and forth over the years and always come back to iPhone. Developers by and large start with iOS and Android next, I'd give iOS the nod for the quality of apps available. iOS, IMO works much more seamlessly within the Apple ecosystem, which again is being developed for first before other platforms as far as I can tell. I have the 6+ and have no complaints regarding battery life or quality of the device. iOS 8 was buggy at first but Apple addressed those bugs with updates pretty quickly. Every Android device I've owned (Galaxy Note 2, 3 & 4) was buggy and felt cheap. This is not to say all devices running Android are cheap but the Galaxy line sure felt cheap with regards to build quality. If you want to customize your phone then Android is your best bet otherwise the iPhone is a great device with excellent software which does more than the average user needs. Apple has it's quirks, non-replaceable battery, no SD option but they build a quality device with software which works.

Motorola Droid Turbo... Had a Samsung S4 before. In remote areas the Motorola antenna technology is far superior to Samsung. I can go a solid 2 days on the battery and I am a heavy data user.

My lady bought me the Note 4 months ago after YEARS of being a apple user. I'll NEVER go back to the iphone and love my android. At least for me, I have found more FREE apps than I could ever get on the apple system AND the screen/camera is great! I was able to transfer ALL my contacts, data except my extensive ITunes library even after multiple attempts and assistance from our local AT&T rep. So...just kept my old iphone and plug it in to the house stereo, truck and jeep.

Don't know your age, but the Note has a big screen easy on my old eyes.

My 12 year old had the I Phone 6 as a birthday gift from us...she loves it
Android Note 4 here it's good does the job for me.
                            Can't go wrong with either.
My I Pad gives me the Apple app so I get the best of both!!!

I'm going to assume you are with ATT (only carrier with the s6 active). The s6 active is by far the best phone they have as of a month ago unless you are an apple fan. They were also running a deal then that if you got an active under their "flex" plan, you got a galaxy tab 4 8.0 for free except a $10 a month data plan.

Samsung s6 active!!!! Ive had mine for a month now. I can burn up a battery quick on slow days at work and I have yet to drain the s6 active' battery. It even blows away the Motorola Maxx HD I had before and that phone was a beast. Just for comparison

Motorola Maxx HD - 3400 mAh battery

                              Samsung S6 Active - 3600 mAh battery

                              IPhone 6 - 1810 mAh battery

So basically the S6 active will last 3x longer than the iphone, is waterproof, rugged and FAST! It also gets mich better reception than my Motorola, and it has a TON more features. I use the heck out of the remote function and all the health trackers!
