Hate to hear that Brett...I feel for you.
When ever you do get it fixed, make sure you don't skipped out on the physical therapy.

Good luck! Don't do like me and put it off for a year or more. My knee locked up and immediate surgery was required. Four hour surgery and a wheel chair for 6 weeks.

Just had my knee worked on, torn meniscus on both side of my knee. Good luck and do what the doc says. Mine was easy with no rehab and I'm walking around on it good within a week but a ACL is different and has a longer recovery.

Ive had mine replaced twice. I did play a full year of high school football without one.

I will join in the party. Torn ACL and MCL and surgery scheduled for August 13. Have to get done before school starts for the kids.

It sounds crazy but I recall reading that John Elway had a complete ACL tear while in HS (1978 or '79) and NEVER had it surgically repaired! His other ligaments were tight enough and he never had any laxity. When Elway was young the dude had some wheels (just one wheel didn't have an intact ACL).

Sorry to hear this Brett. If there is anything I can do, besides carry corn for ya (cause my back won't hold up for to long), give me a shout.

Hope the surgery goes well and the recovery is short!

Prayers for you. I Tore my ACL 25 years ago. Never had it fixed. Well, I had a total knee replacement a week ago on Tuesday. Have had 7 rounds of injections in the last 16 months trying to put off the replacement until I hit 50...didn't last. I'm 47 now. Get it fixed now and you might not have to do what I did last week. Good luck with the surgery.

Wow ! Hope you heal up quick. I've heard replacement is easier recovery. Dr. Said I'm a candidate.
