What rifle?

I got $800 dollars worth of Cabelas gift cards from work.
What rifle would you guys get? I'm tired of tearing up a deer with a 30. 06. I was thinking something a little smaller. I've heard Savage was pretty accurate right outta the box?

I bought a Savage 25-06 last year and love it, put a Nikon Monarch on it. Think its Monarch 3 2.5-10x42 BDC. Bet you could do all that or close to it for $800.
Couldn't go wrong with a .243 either.

Tikka T3 Lite in 7mm-08 with a Nikon Scope. Should be right around $800.

If you got $800 free $$ why not throw another 400 or so and get a Sako or Tikka. .270/.308 would be good.

This also is a good option. Ruger American in .308 or 7mm-08 with a good scope and money left over for plenty of ammo. The American might not be the prettiest but it is darn accurate right out of the box.

Definitely get a savage. Not a savage axis, a regular savage. Like a 112 or 114. And if you already have a 3006 I would probably go with a .243

Rem 700 MTN SS 7/08.

and theoretically should tear them up just like an 06, but punch through ribs and you can shoot them with a 416 Rigby and not waste hardly anything.

I don't think there's anyway you can go better than a Tikka T3 in whatever cartridge you like (I recommend 25-06 or 7mm mag).
