I have a 2000 nissan maxima 3.0 6 cyl (federal) that has a check engine light on. I checked the faults and it says bank 1 sensor 2 is malfunctioning. ..Here's my question. When I change it out will I need to do a system restore, or should it start worki g on its own?

It's best to use dealer parts and replace them all.

I figured that out. I have an ELM obd 2 bluetooth that reads the app Torque on my phone... after we changed it we dod a reset through thephone and it cleared all codes and cleared check engine lights.....ty
