LSBA Youth Archery Range @ Houston TTHA Show

Texas Trophy Hunters Extravaganza is coming to Houton at NRG July 31 through August 2nd . Once again, I will be setting up the LSBA Youth Archery Range again this year. Lucky for me, the range is indoors with comfortable air conditioning.

Unfortunately, I cannot do this by myself. Every year, we have well over a thousand kids come through and shoot our bows and pop the balloons that are placed on our 3-D targets. Every year, we have some great individuals step up and volunteer to help with this. Once again, I would like to ask for your help in making this another successful year by volunteering to help. For all volunteers, I will have a pass for you to get into the hall, and will reimburse you your parking fee.

I can use help on all three days.

Here are the times volunteers are needed:

Friday July 31st – Youth Archery Range open from 3:00 till 9:00 p.m.

Saturday Aug. 1st – show starts at 9:00 and runs till 7:00 p.m.

Sunday Aug. 2nd - show starts at 10:00 and runs till 5:00 – After 5:00 we break down the range.

If you are able to volunteer for a few hours, then you can have plenty of time to go enjoy the show. Your admission is free for LSBA volunteers.

If you think you can help this year we would love to have you. As always, no kid is ever charged to shoot with us and our goal is to introduce kids to archery and bowhunting by letting them safely fling a few arrows at 3-D targets and balloons. You don’t need to be an experienced archery instructor to help out. We’ll show you what to do. It’s easy and fun!

The kids really enjoy the youth shoot, and the Houston TTHA Extravaganza draws thousands of visitors. It a great opportunity to meet new friends and show them what bowhunters are all about. So come help make a difference in a kids life. You’ll be glad you did. You can contact me at 409-739-1532 and leave a message if I am unable to answer or at warden4424@yahoo.com, or PM me here and I can let you know how to obtain your pass.

WOW!! Sad...71,500+ members and very few that want to help a kid learn archery.
