Here is one built out of scrap deck lumber. We used lag bolts for the joints and it is very sturdy.

Quick and simple, I would probably cover the deck with plywood and put a layer of carpet to bugs out and cut down on noise

Oh, and go with the top one. Just imagine trying to "limbo" through the bracings in the 2nd one. At least with the first one, you duck.[/QUOTE]

Man that has me thinking too. That's why I was hoping someone had tried these both. The bottom looks like a maze but the braces are low and crossed which might make it steadier than the first one. Seen them for a while so maybe there's someone out there who's used one. I am leaning towards the first one though just cuz of the sturdier look.

I'd be really worried about noise with that expanded metal deck. Guess you could put carpet with a flap cut in it for the door.

I have the vantage point quade pod and it is a beating. The trap door sucks, and so does the metal floor. I put carpet in mine and cut it out so the trap door would work and it made it a little better. I find myself rarely using it becasue I just don't care for it. A wood platform is the way to go.

Here is one I found on Craigslist posted minutes ago. Most of the work is already done, unless youre trying to blend in with the blue sky

If you don't mind me asking, what was approximate material cost. FYI we used a rubber mat from tractor supply for the metal floors.

I wanna say it was 180 bucks. Under 200. We usually have a bunch of fiberglass ladders in the junk pile so just cut one up for that. I built is 66'' x 66''. Gonna lay down some new carpet that was given to me today. Gonna be hard not to take a nap on this stuff
