Lowes, Home Depot, Wally World, Autozone, no go!

When I ordered the stainless steel halfouts from Dorge at Firenock, he suggested about 5 different epoxies to use on the halfouts and GT Kaos shafts. I tried all the above listed stores thinking one of them would have at least one of the 5 he listed. Nothing even close with any of these retailers, but when I checked with our local Ace Hardware located in our local Lowes Grocery, they had the first 2 Dorge had on his list and way cheaper than I could buy it off the internet. Over $13 with shipping off the net and less than $6 from Ace. I believe Ace will be getting more of my business and not the big chains!

My local Ace, Parco Building Supply, has so much stuff that the big stores don't carry. The quality is usually better as well.

I'm lucky enough to have an Ace and even an old Sears hardware store close by. They seem to have all you'd ever need for diy projects.

They are just about finished remodeling the store on 82nd and Slide. Our neighbor's daughter works there and the name is going to be Food King from what she has told me. The Lowe family sold out a while back from what she said.

Ace used to be the place with the helpful hardware man, now they've gone hardware folks.

Like United. Eventually someone decides the number is big enough and retirement sounds better than working any more. I hope I have to make that decision some day.

I will tell you this much, with the changes they are making at the store on 82nd and Slide, they are going to make this one really nice once it is finished. Crpet that makes the entire store quieter and they replaced all the lights on the parking lot, resurfaced and remarked the parking spots and moved the nursery from in front of the store to the side and enclosed and added on to the east side of the store for more nursery and Ace stuff. It is really going to be nice from what I can tell.
