really? That's a 72 qt cooler under her. She's clearly much longer than that. Which is 30" long. She's got a couple inches past the end of the cooler and another 18+" on the other side, and she's bent. I'm 27" wide at the shoulders. All that clearly puts her well into the 50's.
But heck, you'd obviously know more than me.

Either way, it is my personal best and caught on pretty light tackle. You can nay say it all you want. It's still one heck of a fish, and it swam away for everyone else to enjoy.

                Congrats on a great fish.

Just for a quick comparison, this fish is 57".

IGFA world record redfish caught in North Carolina on the Outer Banks.

(This post is meant to be purely informative, and in no way am I questioning the OPs length guesstimation)

Some of my best memories were catching bull reds from the beach when I was a kid. We would spend the summer with family crabbing and fishing.
Watched my 80+ year old great grandad real in a 52" red. Fun times!!

It a toad for sure. I would say it's pushing 50". I've literally caught hundreds of bull reds in that range. For comparison, the top fish is 51", and the bottom one is 47". I've always found fish feel heavier than are are. Nice catch bro.

                              Very nice fish huntinfool!!!

That's what I'm trying to land on similar tackle. Believe I've had a couple on the line, but couldn't get them in. One spooled me and hook straightened on the other. I only get on the bay 2-3x/year.

                              Congrats on the release too

I keep what I want to eat and prefer those to be under 26".

                              Great looking Red there.
