So far I'm very satisfied with it. Any brands or styles you prefer as far as palm straw hats?
Is that the Jason Aldean starter kit?

            Favorite Palm Straw Cowboy Hat?

I wear a palm when it's cold. It's too dang hot in the warmer months. I've hat Atwoods etc. My favorite by a long shot is just a Cavenders brand Burnt Texoma. I wear a cowboy hat daily myself.

Very odd. I always heard that the reason working cowboys in S Tx and Mexico wear Palms is because of the heat. The plam leaf breathes while a straw does not. Plus you can dunk them in water.

Nope. Wouldn't own one of his signature hats or try to dress like him.

They're smokin crack then!!!! It's like a freakin flannel towel on ur head. Much much warmer in the winter. It will cook your skull in the summer. Maybe that's what happened to em!!!!

Palm leaf-Sunbody with a vented crown. The reason those dark palms stink is the clay that they use to dye them, or so I've been told. A palm leaf hat too heavy?.....Ooookay..

Straw-American Hat, 4 1/2" brim. I need a new one for going out.

I HATE sunscreen, so my palm leaf sees a lot of fishing, floating, mowing, and deer camp duties.

I think it was probably just because they are cheap and durable. You can dunk'em i water though and re-crease them easy.

I've got two, one for everyday wear and one with an 8" brim for the river...or if I just wanna hide under it , but they're both HOT. I had to go back to a Bangora recently.

I love my 8" brim Sunbody for the reason that I can sit in the river and dunk it as needed.

That is a plus there. You don't need steam. You can also spray starch on it so it'll keep shape.

I rolled over a good hat in a scuffle. Now I wear a $30 Resitol to work every day. If I ruin it, I ain't lost much.

I have a palm leaf but it is a HOT hat. Cooks my head.
