    Deer Stand Paint

I've been doing some upkeep on the stands around our place; caulking and flooring, etc. I am about to give them a new paint job and was wondering what is a cheap way to give them a new camo look. Do you have any pictures of yours you would like to show off?

Everyone goes green, black and brown, like old military. Not much green in most trees in the winter. I did a little one at my dads with brown and tan. Sorta the predator camo image in mind.

Deer are color blind. Just about any colors (I hear they see blue maybe??) and make a pattern of some sort. Or after they sit out a few weeks, and the deer get used to them, they won't hardly pay any attention to them anyway.

The paint is great to preserve the wood but the deer don't care what color it is....go with something light so it will collect less heat.

I like to use basic primer gray as a base coat then paint black trees/limbs with a trim roller

Whatever outdoor/sealer type paint is on the mess up table at lowes/home depot. Got a gallon for 12 bucks each. Mine was greyish, buddies was black/brown something. Saved 30 bucks on each gallon.

Deer don't care. That's why Academy sells pink blinds! There is a paint called deer blind green!

I went with a tan and just sprayed stripes all over it. It's day and night compared to my buddy's black stand his gets WAY hotter than mine
