    Panhandle hunters?

Have yall seen any sign of hogs. we have a massive place southeast of Pampa we just aquired. It had pronghorn, muleys,an whitetail, but I have not seen any pigs. It has not been leased by the owner who has owned it for 10 years and he's a family friend who's letting us go for free an we are aquiring the pronghorn tags.

Pretty much every place I have hunted in the panhandle had hogs. I have hunted around Shamrock, Wheeler, Clarendon, Childress, Pampa and in the Palo Duro Canyon. They are around for sure.

All these plus Collingsworth, Hall, Motley, lots of pigs in those areas and big pigs too. I don't think I'd be too surprised if there were pigs up that way.

I used to be assistant ranch manager for t boone pickens north of pampa. The Canadian was our north border and we got them in spurts. We might not see them for months then trap several in a week. Neighbor to the southeast of us rarely saw pigs on his property he was further off of the river.

Hardeman county we have 2 places north and south of 287. They both have hogs.... We see/shoot a pig almost every trip. North of 287 they are rough on feeders. We have multiple feeders with legs staked down with T-post.... even with that they have bent several legs and knocked over the feeders.

Find the water. If there's a steady supply around they'll be there. I manage a 26,000 acre ranch in Hutchinson Co. The Canadian River is our northern boundary. The pigs have always stayed on the river and we catch/shoot them near the river boundaries. With all of the rain we've got this year and the feeder creeks staying full we have now seen pigs miles into the ranch from the river. Never even seen a track in the higher country and we busted out a mess of them on the creek last week horseback.
