    Snake ID

About 4 ft long, black, skinny, and the last 8-10 inches transitions to a tan color. VERY fast, couldn't catch him on my zero turn to get a pic. He's hiding in my burn pile.

I think that's a coach whip. Very fast had one in some old tarps

You can just make out the color of the tail section in this pic. In the very center, looks like a leather whip.

      Coachwhip?

Will it try to eat me alive if I attempt to relocate it manually? Just not sure how aggressive they are.

I see the tail and your description sounds like a coachwhip

          That it?

Trying to decide how to get the bugger out of my burn pile. Wife knows about it and is expecting a corpse to prove it's gone. I'd prefer to just evict it, but no amount of rattling the burn pile is getting it out.

Sounds like a Coachwhip. They'll bite but just grab it by the tail and shake the kinks out of it if it trys to throw a loop in its body to strike at you.

Wear gloves like welding gloves. He'll bite, but that'll actually help you get him out. As said before, once you get him out of the pile, hold on to the last 4-5 inches of tail and keep his body out from you, I'll sometimes use a stick in my off hand.

I tried prodding him out with a long piece of conduit. Either he's stubborn, he found a hole, or he's gone, because he never came out.

Oh well, he's a good snake, so he can hang around.
