For a 7:00 game I think doors don't open till 5:00. Not too far from there we eat at KIM SON, a Vietnamese restaurant. It is very good. It's closer to the Toyota Center, but a short drive from Minute Maid.

Budget? Sports bars to vic & Anthony's! Honestly, the food courts and the restaurant in the stadium are quite good. Parking is $5 and up based on walking distance. I park at the church less than a block for $20. Enjoy!!! :-)

Go to Lucky's for a few beers before the game and take the free shuttle or walk to the stadium.

I-10E and take Hamilton/downtown destinations exit. Park between Jackson and Hamilton. Usually you can find a $10 lot When you leave, take Franklin to Chartres. There is an I-10 E entry ramp at Chartres and Runnels that is a quick exit out of downtown.

We usually eat at China Garden when were downtown, but it is closer to Toyota Center. Irma's is a good choice and near where you would park if you followed the above directions.

              Irma's
              22 N Chenevert St
              Houston, TX 77002

              Enjoy the game!

Go to an expensive steak house and eat a seven course meal before the game. You'll get good food, and you'll still spend less than eating hotdogs at the stadium.

We did! Got caught up in traffic on I-10 around the San Jacinto mall which threw us late. So we didn't eat anywhere before the game but ate at the park. Daughter had a blast playing on the playground there and the game was good too. Fireworks were great too. Stopped at Bucc ees in Baytown on the way home and I ended up buying a deer feeder! So all in all it was a good night!
