That is so weird. I would say a whitetail body all day long. I have absolutely no idea.

I am in no way knowledged on said species of exotic deer, but could it be just an off colored Sika that is just young and in the Velvet.
I totally agree it appears to have the body design of Whitetail, and I have never saw a Sika in Velvet so I do not know for sure if it is taking on Red deer character or not but the eye gaurds are strange.??

I have one at the house that I thought was a red/whitetail cross

But the "experts" tell me they will not cross

Sika and red stag can cross and both can cross with elk but not with whitetail from what I have been told....red deer, sika and elk are in the same family of specie

It might be a silk deer. Looks similar to this one to me expect yours doesn't have the spots like this one
