    Fish dinner-British open inspired

Have been a bit under the weather but decided to cook some fish. Made fish and chips style fried halibut and rockfish. Side is some creamed spinach and jalapeño ketchup. Turned out pretty good. Should have made some chips but wasn't feeling it.

It was great. I like my condiment of jalapeño ketchup better than the traditional things. I hope an American goes across the pond and brings home the trophy. Hard for me to pull for a longhorn but I hope spieth brings it home.

Dang that looks good! I am a spinach lover but don't know how to make creamed spinach. Would you post up the recipe? Once your feeling better of course.

I used Tyler's fish and chips recipe from food network. I have used the batter mix in a box before and it really is about the same. The creamed spinach was from a batch I had made from the pioneer woman. I froze about half and heated it up tonight. I believe both recipes are a on line. You can always do a simple beer batter. Beer, flour, salt and some sugar. I just play with the amounts until it's thick but runny and tastes right. It's easy.
