What is the Best Tropical All-Inclusive Resort ????

I want to take my wife this September out of the US but not too far. We live in Houston so we can fly from IAH and don't want to burn the whole day just flying. What or where have you gone to or heard that is nice and reasonably priced.

Where, how much and what airline gets you there?

Is there a booking agent or book direct?

What must we do or see if we go to your suggestion?

Thanking you in advance for you help!!

Have you considered it is hurricane season? Is travel insurance recommended?

Best money I ever spent was Roatan in Honduras. Great drift dives, cheap rum, and a great nightlife.

        Jumby Bay, Antigua.
Private island just off the coast of Antigua. Approximately 30 private residences on the island. All-inclusive; great food and drinks, incredible beaches, incredible service, and lots of privacy. You can also reserve time on a private beach - the hotel delivers and sets up your lunch / drinks.
My wife and I have been twice, it's one of the best resorts we've ever visited. We flew direct from Dallas on American. The cost is not reasonable, but September is the off-season, the rates will be discounted.

We just got back from Mexico last week. Stayed at the El Dorado Casitas royale. Place was awesome. Beaches sucked, but not really there fault. Lots seaweed coming ashore due to recent hurricanes.

We are going to sanctuary cap Cana in the Dominican Republic in October. Reviews look great and pictures too. $3k a couple all inclusive for 5 nights. I can't wait.

We have been happy with Sandals resorts. All inclusive including scuba diving.

                Great for couples.

I've heard good things about Sandals resort in St. Lucia. Never been but heard it's awesome. Pricey, but awesome

Iberostar Grand Paraiso near Playa Del Carmen is convenient and a great place. It was about $4k including flight for 4 nights. This was a few years ago.

My family and friends have always stayed at the Riu chain of resorts. They have destinations all over and we have never been dissapointed.

We have been going to Playacar in Mexico over the last several years. We have had good luck with Riu, Royal and Dreams.

We stayed at Halcyon and it was nice. Would definitely recommend it. There are 2 others in st Lucia. Ours was the quiet couples resort. The grande was where the party was at.

The last three places my wife and I went were, Panama for the history. Take the canal tour and fish for peacock bass. Costa Rica for the jungle life. Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta. All inclusive on the best beach there. Zip line was a blast which was about 20 minutes away. Great boardwalk downtown along the beach. Felt safe in all three places. Antigua, Saint Thomas and Casa De Campo in the Dominican Republic when I was younger. Casa De Campo was designed by Oscar de la Renta. Great resort and the golf is first class. I don't normally even play golf.
