I came across this site this morning via a link on a story about the New Horizons spacecraft that passed by Pluto. The downlink data rate from Voyager 2 is a whopping 159.00 bits/second!

So it started sending that picture of Pluto roughly a week ago.

what's amazing is the 799.99 kb/sec to the Curiosity on Mars.... that's pretty spiffy and impressive given range, interference, etc. Heck pretty sure that's close to the average download rate on a Sprint phone in some cities
