Help with dog issue!

Dogs respect a good smacking.
If she keeps doing it, whip again, then again, and once more for good measure.
My lab loved to tear up my archery targets, she did it twice, but no more.

So did you whip her while she was tearing them up, or maybe right afterwards? I've always heard that when whipping a dog you need to catch them doing the act or real close afterwards. That if you whipped them for something they done 6 hours before, they don't know understand why there being punished. And I would imagine when i get home and she is excited to see me then I go and whip her it would be even worse.

Get a motion activated alert sensor where you can record your voice with your favorite 'NO, BAD DOG' verbal correction.

Or, if you're mechanically and electrically inclined, hook a motion sensor up to a motor connected to a water gun. When the pup gets close to the zone and trips the sensor, it fires a shot.

There are simpler ways to make this type of device, but the above was just a quick search and it comes with decent enough instructions.

Try putting her poop around the plants. I did that with my lab, and she would not dig in those spots where I would put her poop. I would mix it in the dirt around the spots I didn't want her to go, and I would dig a small hole where she could dig.

Once right after, and once while she was doing it. No I wouldn't do it if she didn't know what she was in trouble for.
