Dear lord. Those of you who think Big Lou is an example of quality pizza have no appreciation for quality food.

RF76, if you want to see an example of San Antonio's best pizza, go to Dough. They had their oven made in Naples, then shipped across the world, and then they knocked down the front wall of the restaurant to get it installed. It cooks pizzas in 90 seconds. They also experiment with toppings you'd never even think of, but that pair amazingly well together.

Dough is owned by a great guy, who incidentally is named Doug Horn. If there are any Aggies on the forum, let me know if you need help making the connection.

LOL..it just hits me funny how you can ask a simple question and get SO many not only different, but CONFLICTING answers. Some swearing by it, others swearing at it.
That's what makes the world go round I guess..

And for MY answer: I'm not a huge pizza fan, but Dominoes is pretty good.

I like Ray's also. 3 locations to choose.
Think I may need to try Dough. That sounds good.

I'm a pizza lover. We stopped at Big Lou's pizza on the way in. My daughter's made the choice and this time the pizza was soggy. I'm going to stop at Doug's before we leave on Sunday. Thanks for the input guys.

My Italian wife claims Miss Ellie's is her favorite in town.

I did not care for dough or grimaldis. I prefer Fralos to both of them. I don't get a pizza over a 16" or so at big Lou's because they get to greasy.

Today we went to a seafood restaurant. We went to El Bucanero on Blanco Rd. This place is very good. Good adsmosphare, sercive and the food is something else. 5 starts in my book.

Ray's pizzeria on blanco rd at lockhill Selma. It was the original goombas. Best I've had.

Forgot about that place. Never actually ordered pizza there but they bring you out some like other places bring bread or chips and salsa.
