I'm trying to put in some new globes in our bathroom light fixtures. It's the type where the globe is held in place by a knurled plastic ring that screws onto these ceramic threads (the socket). What's the trick to getting those **** things off? They turn a couple of turns and then stick tight as a rock. Anybody? I'm getting red in the face here.....

This,
Actually saw a tool for them at Home Depot too like a big plastic nut driver

Here's a pic, looking up into the globe. You unscrew that ring a couple of turns, and it sticks rock solid. I have 3 of them like this, and all 3 are sticking. Arghhhh.... What I might do is hold a paper bag up over the globe and break it, so I can access the ring with some pliers and lubricant.
