Wow. I heard that if the water goes over the spillway by 5' the town will get flooded. That would not be minor flooding.

Have you lived in Brownwood long? They have a 100 year flood about every 10 years.

Nope. Just a little over 6 years. In those 6 years the river never really had any kind of flow. I have seen the pics inside Humphrey Petes of when it was over the bayou bridge though. I still don't think that classifys as minor flooding if it only happens once in a decade.

I lived there from 93-2012. Takes quite a flood to impress the folks in Brownwood.

Lake Brownwood is now 3.6 feet over the spillway.

I will have to agree with u on that. The Colorado above Buchanan will reach a level that it hasn't been at in over 15 years.

We always stayed in Tow. I love that lake and hope it gets back to normal. It's been a long time.

It's nice to see the lakes in that area catch some water! As mentioned there is a lot of un
gaged creeks and tribs in that area. The water is supposed to be at the Colorado River nr San Saba River gage tonight and peaking there tomorrow morning around 8am or so. Time will tell how much water actually gets there.....Hopefully its a good amount for Buchanan.
