Had to run into town earlier and was listening to Fox radio. They had a program on celebrating America and it got me to thinking. I am so proud to live in a country that allows the freedoms that we are willing to share with all who come to her. I think of the sacrifices that our founding fathers made, the fact that they were willing to sacrifice their lives to play midwife to the birth of this nation. We all know their names....Washington, Jefferson, Adams, Hancock, etc al. The very same "racist" slave owners that many now want to spit on their names. I think of the words of the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution that gives the dividers of this great nation the legal right to rail against the perceived injustices of groups with agendas. I am saddened that the very idea that everyone can have a chance to succeed thru hard work and perseverance in this country to the constant drumbeat of how you can't succeed because of road blocks that our country and society have placed in front of them. I know our country has flaws, but it is still the best place in the world to live.
