    Theft Deterent Game Camera

After having a trail camera stolen last month, I thought hard about how to stop someone from stealing anymore, I concluded that if anyone really wanted it, they could take it so I venture out to make it miserable for them. I ordered steel security boxes that fit my camera. I took the box, screw 2 1/2" screws, and used carriage bolt from the backside to secure the box to a landscape timber. I then took a 10ft piece of chain and lag bolted it to the bottom of the post. I then cemented the post in a 5 gallon bucket with 60lbs of concrete. One end of the chain is lock to the box and the other is locked around a tree.

I know they can still get it if they want to but they are going to have to work for it.

Pain in the keester to lug around, but it will probably be there when you get back.

Good idea but can't a redneck master key still get the thugs a new camera?

Yes, but if they are on the lease with that, then I think I have more to worry about then my trail camera

I know but if they have that then it wouldn't matter what way I have it secured. They will take it if they want it bad enough

20 penny nail thru the camera eye.....

best defense is to hide it

second best is to put it where it is very hard to reach
