I'm curious on the responses from those who are using them. I can't decide if it would be worth the money or not. Also, if anyone is using it on the D40 does the panel have any effect on the inaccurate time issue?

I've tried it on my I40. The first one I got was bad. I had 90+% battery life when I installed it. I had those batteries running for over two months at the time of the install. 11 days later my batteries were dead! It only uses the internal batteries on the camera when there is not sufficient solar power. I got another unit to replace it, but moved my camera and there wasn't really an easy place for the power panel to hang so I left it off this time around. I'll hook it back up opening weekend. If I have any more issues, I'll get my money back this time.
The battery life is so good in the I40 I really don't need the power panel, I just thought it would be nice to not have to buy batteries again or worry about them dying before I could get back.
The jury is still out, for me. -
I've got it on my d40...it appears that something pulled the plug out of the camera and my camera batteries died. I little duct tape fixed that.Comment
