Sure been hoping this deal goes through! Plan B ain't looking to good. Jordan knows that too - With that kind of leverage I bet it's a big number.

It'll be the max they can give I'm sure. Is there a max deal for a free agent signing with a new team like there is for a free agent resigning? With Wesley Matthews, those are two pretty good gets assuming Matthews is healthy.

Next year, when the cap jumps dramatically, that's going to be nothing. 20 mil might be just over a mid level exception, which is what, like 13 million now?

Good sign but as noted he needs to learn how to make a dang FT. I like picking up Matthews as well.

Still, even if Parsons and Matthews can get and stay healthy, they aren't a good enough team to go any deeper in the playoffs than they did this year.
Losing Tyson and Monta both is just too much to overcome IMO. They should be competitive and that's a positive...kudos to Cuban for not being cheap and willing to pay the $ but Dirk just ain't good enough to carry a team anymore.

Meanwhile a much better SA team is going to add a much better player in Aldridge. A Texan and a Horn.

Jordan is better than Chandler, and if healthy, Matthews can be better than Ellis because Matthews actually plays defense. Definite upgrade for me, and a better fit with the Mavs than Aldridge, though I'd have taken either and made Aldridge work.

Not if Phoenix has a say.

Besides nobody cares about the Senior League..

The senior league (Spurs) will show the rest of the league how to keep together a quality team with veterans and young players. If they sign Aldridge, then they will be the favored for the NBA title this coming year. Pops is the best and the heads of this operation have the ability to keep together the players that want to win the title, not just the money.

Dallas needs to find a good/great PG (Mo Williams - Lin) and another SG (the Jet, Middleton, Louis Williams), and a backup/future PF.

I think they will be decent to good this year and a player next year.

Glad to hear they got Jordon and Matthews. Dirk may not get another ring, but at least he can ride into the sunset on a good team.
