Looks like the nose cone is gone and appears to be a big dent on the tower (probably where blade slapped it after breaking off) but I don't have any idea what would cause that

Manufacturing defect or something big hitting blade would be my guess

The nose cone is still on but bent and hanging out of place.

This is north of San Angelo. I am pretty sure that it was not like this when I went out Monday. There was a heck of a storm out that way early Tuesday. I thought maybe a lighting strike.
