    Pork for the 4th

Got back from vacation in Florida yesterday afternoon and threw some corn out in the yard for the deer. About 7:00 I looked out the window and had 8 little 30 pound pigs eating the corn about 40 yards from the house. Took out 2 of them before they made it back in the brush.

Sweet man! I like to cook small pigs whole and stuff the cavity with boudin about 3/4 way thru the cooking process. I'm jealous...enjoy the 4th!

Yea the deer don't hardly leave. The deer go through about 200 pounds of protein and 100 pounds of corn a week on 12 acres so I can't afford to feed pigs too. I fired 2 rounds with 223 and the deer stood there watching me. There are usually 15-20 deer waiting for me to feed morning and evening. Here is a pic of what it looks like before the hogs show up.

Critters are all over town with the water still high. Had ten deer inside the middle school chain link fence here this afternoon on Jefferson Drive.
