Isn't part of the fun the tracking of the animal?
Whether rifle or bow hunting, the tracking of the animal is part of the fun for me.
Not every shot is perfect and they fall right there on the spot... sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.

I agree, I enjoy tracking. But a couple times no blood even with a great shot placement.

I agree, otherwise I don't think I could justify the price of the thing. Plus as stated the tracking is all part of the hunt.

I bought one of those contraptions a few years ago. Much smaller unit. Seemed like a good idea when I made the purchase. Then I got it, looked at it and decided I didn't like the idea of anything else on my arrow when shooting. Also seemed like too much junk to carry around. Already have too much junk when I go hunting so I sold it without ever trying it.

So we spend hours tuning our equipment to get fast, balanced and perfectly aerodynamic just to put a big piece of plastic and a fishhook on our arrow?

Seems like it is too costly to the lethal-ness of our hunting setup. Great concept, it kills me to have any animal unrecoverable, but it needs to be smaller and have less of an impact on my arrow setup for me to buy in.
