The truck has 220k miles on it so I guess this would be the last time I need this done. Honestly it has needed it for several years.

Champion Spring in downtown Fort Worth rebuilt the front end on my 04 1500 for about $900.

It's been 3 years and still solid as a rock.

The truck is due to have the front end replaced and the price is not high.

The dealership said that if I ok the work, they can have it back to me this afternoon. This is my yard truck, but I actually need it very soon.

You could shop around a better deal and find one. The pricing given does not sound absurd for the work mentioned though. Everything seems to line up.

If Champion Spring in Fort Worth will do it, then I'd take it there if you don't have the tools and time to do it yourself. They are a good honest shop.

Its a common problem in GM vehicles. Not a problem other than just annoying. As far as the worn front end parts, Ide find someone other than the dealer to do it. Gotta be a good honest mechanic up there that can give you a realistic price to replace all that, or a TBHer who might help you do it for a case of 12 ouncers. My local mechanic replaced all that and a wheel bearing on my 07 Classic for only $750. Everything was replaced with upgraded Moog parts with a lifetime parts warranty on everything installed.
Yes, common problem with the intermediate steering shaft. Had dealer replace several times on my 2006 and it always came back. I finally fixed it with a zip tie and hose clamp under the dash. Do a google search on "intermediate steering shaft, zip tie , steering clunk"

There is a technical service bulletin on the issue with the intermediate steering shaft. There is also an updated intermediate steering shaft you can you as a replacement to try to eliminate this issue in the future.
In consideration of the ball joints, I would recommend purchasing them already installed on the control arm from original equipment manufacture, and have them install the control arm. If you do not purchase from the original equipment manufacture you will have these failures again in a relatively short amount of mileage. Good luck mammary gland support system.

The bottoms suck. Hope you have a ball joint separator fork and a 2lb+ shop sledge. Tip for the bottom though. Drive the fork in as far as you can, then hit the bottom of the lower ball joint. It should pop after a few good whacks.

As said pricing is close. One thing at the dealer they should be using OEM parts, which I prefer when available but they do cost more. You could ask exactly what parts/labor are, then supply parts and get Moog parts from oarts supply store. I'm really surprised you don't have a hub wearing or worn out at that mileage.
