Copperheads

How many copperheads normally live in a den? My friend had killed 5-6 in the last 2 evening coming from under the propane tank?

I'm not sure. I haven't ever heard of Copperheads denning together in big numbers. As hot as it is now they all ought to be out away from where they denned up over the Winter.

Seems like my parents always find them in pairs around their house during the spring and early summer months.

I killed 6 mature copperheads in Bowie one evening last July. All within a small area in a 20 minute time span....had to be a den or mating time?
