Guess They Don't Build 'Em Like They Used To

    F-35 vs. F-16

    #2
The F-35 was all about the "military industrial complex" generating new/huge contracts. Seems like the issues with the F-35 have been horrendous.............total waste of US taxpayer dollars............another boon doggle!!!

the bean counters have taken over all military hardware choices. it has always been a balancing act, but for several decades the pendulum has been stuck away from the people with knowledge of their needs and this plane as well as the new jet trainer are prime examples.

This comical article is SOOOOOOOO full of false information that it's beyond funny! Another prime example of the media grossly misguiding the public on an Epic scale.
Don't believe everything you read fellas-even if it's from the internet!

My father retired as a technical publications chief for General Dynamics/Lockheed after 46 years, a great deal of it on the F-16 project. He says it's the best fighter jet ever produced, regardless of how long it's been in production. Countries around the world are still placing orders for the F-16.

WASHINGTON — Citing “disastrous” management of the F-35 development program and “obvious, catastrophic failings” in the aircraft itself, the Air Force and Marine Corps will jointly announce this afternoon the cancellation of the most expensive procurement project in history, sources have told Duffel Blog.

Probably because Pratt & Whitney had to cut corners on the F-135 engines to keep them cheap since GE propositioned the US government to re-open the bid for the engines since they lost it...talk about some shystie business...

I would imagine it went down something like this:
