Need some advice from all you folks who live up around Fort Worth. My company is transferring me from San Antonio to Fort Worth. I am currently living in Boerne but I will starting the move in the next couple months. I'm looking for any and all suggestions on areas of town to live. I know I want to stay out if the inner cities. I don't mind making a commute since I don't have much of a schedule. Any advice is good advice! Thanks guys

In that case, I'd be looking north of Dallas, or perhaps into Denton County. Taxes will kill you in the Keller, Southlake area. My folks live in Keller. Their house has been paid off for probably 15 years or so. They pay more in taxes each month than their entire mortgage ever was. Keller & Southlake are nice, but VERY pricey for the area. You might check the area just south of Lake Lewisville. My brother and his wife are in a nice neighborhood there. They're in a small pocket of Denton County that's just south of the lake. The taxes are substantially less there than in Dallas Co. Otherwise, I'd be looking in Collin, Hunt, or Rockwall counties. You can get the commute and keep dealing with north Dallas traffic too much.

I live in justin north of TMS and my wife drives to Allen 3 days a week. It take 1 1/2 to 2 hours but she don't mind the drive the few days she mskes it. If your wife stays home then I would go up around 380. You could go out as far as Decatur. Great schools here in Justin and in Decatur. Good luck with your adventure lots of great places up here.
