      Coil or wire

The dielectric constant in the path between the coil and the plug is at or near infinity. Thusly no electrons can flow through the conductor to ground via the air gap in the spark producing device.

bad spark plug wire or coil is dead.

What make and manufacturer model #. Is it a Husqvarna?

Could be a bad ignition switch or coil or short in wiring.

If it's the GTH26k54, I tried attaching the PDF on it.

Wait a minute....makes me wonder if it could even be a relay of some kind. Worked on a Bush Hog ZTR that was doing strange things. Traced the problem to a relay located in a tight spot. You had to raise the seat to get to it. Believe the city of Maypearl owned it.
