Has anyone heard anything good/bad about the new Remington 770?

IMHO..... JUNK

very plastic feeling and seems like it could have been made in taiwan

loose fitting bolt that is sloppy

spend a few more dollars and get a 700 ADL or SPS if you're a Big Green fan.

Other brands such as : Tikka, Howa, Stevens, and Savage have excellent entry level guns for the money that are priced less than $500

They are only about $40 less than a Remington 700 SPS on sale at Cabela's. Do yourself a favor and buy the 700.

Edit: Cabela's has a 700 ADL in .270 Win or 7mm mag for $399 right now.
