Not sure of your set up or accommodations, but if you're a fan of seafood there is/was a great market in Pensacola that is not far away. The kids loved it, and the quality was great.

When I was looking at going to GS a while back I did a search and there were a few restaurants suggested. I think one was Luannes or something but there were others. A quick search should give you some ideas.

We really enjoyed Wolf Bay Lodge. It is more of a place where locals go, and the food was really good.

Go to the Hangout for sure! Kids had a blast!

The Hangout is good. Great place to take the kids and right on the beach. Man, their really isn't a bad place to eat there. I've been to just about all of the eateries in Gulf Shores over the years. The Oyster House is dang good...love their Gumbo and baked oysters. Have fun! I will be down the road a bit in Navarre Beach. Gulf Shores has just gotten way too crowded for me.

Yea that is top of my list. Probably going to stop there on the way down there. Also the National Museum of Naval Aviation is also at the top of the list too. Not sure if going to the Naval Aviation Museum on July 11th (Pensacola beach airshow) or July 14th (day the Blue Angels practice) but will be there at least 1 of those days.

I would eat at Docs in Orange Beach again. Nothing fancy. But the shrimp were good.

Rent kayak. Paddle out 1/2 mile. Free spool cigar minnows. Troll. Slay kings and spanish mackerel. We did this last summer. Never went more than 15 minutes without a fish. It was awesome!
