waterproofing a tent blind?

Is it worth it and if so what product do you use to help repel the water from a tent blind. Does it smell? Does it change the color of the blind? Are UV products worth spraying on a new tent blind?

I hunted in my DB a few weeks ago at Leakey in some pretty heavy and sustained rains. A drip or two here and there but that's about it. I haven't treated it with anything at all.

I've never had a problem getting wet in mine. It has to be raining hard enough that I don't want to be there anyway for it to get wet inside my blinds.
