Got some bad news. Injury update

So finally got my MRI and followed up today with my Doctor. That's when she hit me with the news. I have a Labral tear and a cyst has formed as well. She's going to try and so it arthroscopic but isn't sure if she can. My tear is in the back and not the front like 99% of Labral tears. After surgery she told me I would be unable to work for 4-5 months, and due to where it is located she doesn't foresee me bow hunting for a year. Also she advised me that she doesn't recommend any high recoil shooting. So looks like I'm sitting out this bow and waterfowl season. Only hope I have rifle hunting left handed this year.

So I'm pretty bummed. It could be worse but I'm sure going to miss shooting ducks.

Sorry to hear that. Maybe a 410 with hevi shot and or Left handed. I know it sounds crazy but have witnessed a man kill his limit of ducks with a double barrel 410 and hevi shot when I used to guide duck hunts.

Stay positive. Had surgery 2 weeks ago today for a labral tear and some other stuff. Calls for 6 weeks of a sling. Started PT today, not as bad as expected. felt good to just move it around

4-5 months for recovery of labrum tear? Man I'd seek a second opinion. Should be 6-8 weeks back to work. Anterior or posterior. Don't get in the dumps bro!!

I'd be shooting ducks left handed.

Ryan I will say it is better than a sharp stick in the eye. It could be a lot worse.

I had the same and I starting my bow off the other hand...I'm normally left handed but for that season I shot right handed....lower draw weight and with sights, (I shoot instinctive)
