    Alternative to Google Earth?

...I know there are others out there but what are some of the more user friendly, FREE, Google Earth type programs that you have used? Thanks in advance.

      maps.live.com

You can't get a street view like google maps, but in the bird's eye view you get an oblique view of the area, and can look at it from the 4 compass directions.

mytopo.com has both aerial and hybrid maps that you can overlay a topo on the picture automatically, with either lat/long or UTM grids for GPS navigation. You can buy them from them, or do a map preview, click it to enlarge, and the right click and save it as a jpeg and print it out yourself. Not as sharp as when you purchase it, but definitely usable for hunting purposes.

I like the maps.live.com as well. They are user friendly and have fairly new images.

google planimeter is what I use. I like it because I can encircle the area wanted and it gives me the exact acreage
