If its real thats an amazing fish and congrats to the angler.

Im with Saltwaterslick though. Something just dont seem right about the pic. The dude has a small head.

          Maybe its just jealousy. Lol

Im with you on the hands. I think it is an "angle of camera" thing though. The other looks like a rod. Looks like he is standing next to a kayak or boat that has another rod hanging out. Who knows though!

What a heck of a fish. I think I would pass out if I pulled that up and realized that I was fighting a trout that big the entire time.

Very nice trout.. Never caught one that big.. caught some big sows in the old Humble channel at the swing bridge... one stringer of 10 weighed 109 pounds on the hanging scale at AJ's Bait but that was back in '68.. Just don't see many trout like that on our coast anymore..

Great fish! That area of the Indian river and Mosquito Lagoon holds most of the light tackle world records for speckled seatrout. He is holding a pretty typical light tackle set up for fishing there for trout or reds, which are also big in that area.

Picture is the pretty standard hold the fish out in front of you, type fish picture. IMO, that is a very legit fish for the area.

I have caught them in the closed zone of Cape Canaveral years ago on spin and fly that were 10-12lbs. No world records tho, because back then, it was fish weight and not allowed to weigh it in the boat. We were fishing for brood stock reds in the closed zone for the Miami fish hatchery at the time.

That's a good fish. Photos can really distort the actual size of a fish but that is a big trout. Whether it's 33" or 38" it's a rarity these days. Been trying to top my personal best and can't get close. Congrats to the angler.

                              That's a biggun alright!
I understand if a guide blurs out the background of a picture because he has to post them for advertising purposes but for a recreational fisherman wouldn't it just be easier to not post a picture in order keep your spot a secret?

Everyone in Florida uses spin tackle or fly tackle mostly.
