No I have not shot one. Just looking. Fusion not fast enough. For what I want.

The obsession I shot was nice to shoot. The fusion 6 ibo is nice. But at my draw I would be at the very back of cam. So I don't think it will shoot the same speed my mr5 is. They are nice bows

      Think my punctuation was off.

But meant to convey that The 3 bow companies, like ford, never screwed the citizens over.

            Tough choice.
Have you picked up the new Hoyt Nirtum. Seems light. But it might be cause its balanced.

I shot it and I liked it, but it was too heavy Now I shoot a slow Elite bow.

Finally, a bow hunting thread...season must be getting closer! Bowtech shooter here, its all about what feels right.

Say what? My Hoyt CRX 32 has a mass weight of 3.95lbs. There isn't an Elite made that is that light. Where did you get that Hoyts were heavy?

I managed a shop a year ago. I shot almost every bow made by Bowtech, Elite, Hoyt, Mathews, Mission, and PSE. I owned a few of them. In the end, the PSE Drive LT won out over the rest. It had an incredibly smooth draw cycle and good speed. And, it was a $500 bow.

That being said, I liked the Hoyts pretty well, but they had a minor vibration at the shot. They are very tough bows. I saw 2 dryfired and both were fine sans strings. And yes, almost every bow made, maybe every one, will be smoother than the Omen. But only one apples to apples will be faster, and that's the PSE Full Throttle. I wouldn't hunt with either personally, unless they were 50-55 pound max.

If I buy a new bow this year it will be between the PSE Bow Madness 32 and the Bear Archery Arena 30. The BM32 will be a smooth but quick bow that won't rape your pocketbook.

Its 356!!!! You can't get there unless you go PSE. And yes it's faster and waaay easier on the draw than a mr5. Delta is 344 at (29"), Evo is 350.

After bowhunting for a long time and finally getting to a point where I could afford to buy what I want vs. just geeting what I can - if you have the money to afford a good bow, then buy a Matthews or Hoyt. I personally prefer a Hoyt. Since 2006 I've had the Vectrix, Trykon, Katera and Katera XL. My wife shoots a Matthews. lol

My mr5 at 65 lb at 26.5. With 495 gn arrow is shooting 260 Fps. That's 358 on the ibo. I don't think that fusion will make that. And I'm not willing to buy a new bow that can't shoot at least as fast.

So,yes I can get there with out a pse..

It'll shoot faster. That's advertised IBO. They normally run over 360. Not a lot over. But over none the less. And worst case it would be 2-3 fps slower and a lot easier to draw and a PILE!!!! Quieter. Ask CSmith how quiet they are. Blew his mind.

Oh, that Full Throttle is faster than both of em. Bad faster.

I had a buddy tell me this as well. Problem he had was trying to compare my hoyt with 80lb limbs and all high end accessories on mine vs. his 55lb limbs on his diamond with whatever comes factory from Gander Mtn.

I tried the full throttle. I could not handle the draw. Plus I think the full throttle was on the back of the cam again for my draw.

And my bow is quite with that 500 gn arrow. Just listen. See how quite that was

One thing when doing research on the obsession. It shot it's best at tha 28 in mark. Above that it was a hair low. Below that it was loosing. I talked to some guy at obsession. He also told me that binary cams do not gain a lot when going heavy. I do not know. I even talked to the guys at xpedition on there short draw bow. He said it would be a great smooth bow. But when I said that's great but will it get close to the speed I'm shooting. His comment was it will be smother on the draw. Hm.

The cams on the mr5. Gain fast after that 500 mark. Yes this bow may not be as smooth of a draw. But it is hard to beat at short draw.

Im Always willing to look at other bows. But I have yet to see one at my draw and poundage match the speed I get.

And I'm not buying a pse.
